T'ai chi Fan in the Garden

T’ai Chi Fan in the Garden ~ 2/14/2026 ~ 12 spots only
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

This Valentine’s / Galentine’s Day, step into a practice that is both graceful and powerful. Join us in the gardens of Topanga Nursery to explore the expression of the martial arts fan — a flowing practice that blends elegance, precision, and quiet strength.

Together, we’ll slow down, breathe deeply, and move with intention as we learn the foundations of this beautiful and historically rich weapon form.

You’ll be guided through:

  • An invigorating energy activation and warm up

  • Foundational T’ai Chi stances and body mechanics

  • T’ai Chi fan basics, including how the fan has been used traditionally as a weapon

  • The beginning sequence of a fan form (choreography)

  • Practices to regulate the nervous system, ground your energy, and cultivate balance and flow

This class is open to all levels, but designed for beginners. Whether you come solo, with a partner, or with friends, you’ll leave feeling centered, empowered, and connected to your body.

Make a morning of it — after class you can grab a coffee from the onsite JustVibes café, pick up a plant or flowers for Valentine’s Day, bring home some local honey, and say hi to the nursery bees!
